Our Services
Venekai’s work centres on how anti-racism is carried within leadership and governance structures.
It is not treated as a series of initiatives or programmes, but as part of the wider systems through which responsibility is exercised and oversight is maintained over time, including under external scrutiny.
EDI and Anti-Racism Consultation
Consultation examines how anti-racism sits within leadership oversight, rather than remaining solely within EDI activity.
This includes reviewing where authority sits, how senior ownership is exercised and how responsibility is carried at board and executive level, particularly in layered or regulated environments. Attention is given not only to formal frameworks, but also to how power operates across the workplace and how it is experienced by staff.
Leaders often seek this work when they want confidence that existing arrangements are credible, defensible and capable of being sustained.
Executive and Board Development
Work with boards and senior teams centres on inclusive leadership and effective oversight.
These discussions create space for leaders to consider their role in holding this agenda, how leadership structures enable or constrain it and how authority is exercised under pressure. Competing priorities, regulatory attention and institutional constraint form part of the conversation.
Leaders often leave with a stronger understanding of how their authority connects to accountability and how responsibility for anti-racism is carried at senior level.
Training, Coaching and Workshops
Training and facilitated sessions create space for leaders, teams and boards to explore how anti-racism is understood, discussed and carried within their roles.
These sessions are often used to support wider organisational work, helping leaders examine how authority is exercised, how judgement is applied and how responsibility is shared across teams and leadership structures.
Workshops may focus on leadership accountability, governance responsibilities or how workplace culture shapes the experience of staff across the organisation. Sessions are tailored to the context leaders are operating within and often form part of a wider programme of organisational development.
Project and Programme Management
Venekai also supports organisations delivering complex anti-racism and workplace equity programmes.
This work often sits alongside senior leadership oversight, helping organisations move from strategy and governance discussions into structured delivery. Venekai works with leadership teams to coordinate programmes, align activity across departments and ensure that progress can be monitored and reported at board and executive level.
Programme work is often connected to wider organisational change, including policy development, cultural change initiatives and leadership accountability programmes. The emphasis is on ensuring that delivery remains aligned with governance expectations and organisational responsibilities.
Organisational Diagnostics
Diagnostics consider governance arrangements, workforce data, policies and organisational culture together.
This work identifies gaps, tensions and assumptions that may otherwise remain obscured by activity or good intent. Boards gain a more complete understanding of how responsibility operates, not how it is described, and the aim is coherence and defensibility rather than perfection.
Strategy, Policy & Procedure Review
Reviews examine whether existing frameworks are capable of sustaining this area through leadership change and ongoing scrutiny.
Attention is given not only to how policies are written, but also to how they are interpreted, applied and experienced across the workplace. Written intent and lived reality do not always align and understanding that gap is central to meaningful progress.
